Road Markings – Sussex

One of our valued clients contacted us to arrange a site meeting to discuss some alterations to the directional road marking signs.

After a couple of site visits and receiving an order to carry out the works our operatives carried out various markings using hot applied thermoplastic material.  Client arranged for any traffic to be re-directed around the site and we chose a day when it would be quiet to minimise disruption.

We used a Tack Coat which is a primer first on the concrete surfaces before applying the thermoplastic material but this is not necessary on the tarmac surfaces.

Single Head, Double Headed and Triple Headed Arrows were completed.  Along with 700mm High Lettering and 1.2m High Lettering, 2.2m Wide Crossing Pads, 100mm White Line to a Centre Line, 100mm Double Yellow Lines. We also removed any redundant lines by using the burning off equipment – unfortunately this process can damage and scar the surface but it is the most cost effective way of removing existing markings.
